NERVO LOGO DESIGN: Skint Records asked me to pitch some ideas to them for a logo for Nervo, an electro pop duo responsible for many top 10 chart hits. Time was limited, but I came up with this concept designed to match their chic style and playful lyrics.

CHANNEL 23 LOGO DESIGN: The company takes it's name from the A23 road which runs south through the South Downs to the coast in Brighton.

ENERGY WAKEUP CONCEPT: This was a design concept for Energy WakeUp, a renewable energy consultancy. They wanted to convey the benefits of being independent from the energy grid. The first image shows house 'plugged in' to the world and images of polluting power stations. When the house is unplugged, we see an idyllic green world.

SONIC JAM LOGO / CONCEPT: Logos and design concept for a drum'n'bass festival in the south called Sonic Jam.

CRAFTWORK DECOR LOGO/ BRAND ID: Logo and business card for Craftwork Decor, a company specializing in highly customized bespoke interior design. The aim was to create a bold logo which would project confidence and reliability while also reflecting the company's often heavily artworked style of work.

FLY DIGITAL LOGO: A logo concept for a printing company called Fly Digital.

BLOW IT LOGO/ REBRANDING: This London based events company asked me to redesign their logo and reproduce their promotion pack with the new logo.

FUNKTION45 LOGO: This was a logo design for a Brighton based funk night. They wanted a modern but 'old-skool' feel with references to vinyl, funk and soul music.

ACHILLES LOGO: Logo for my band, Achilles. In the Greek myth, Achilles was dipped by his mother into the river Styx to make him invincible, I thought it should look as though the logo was immersed in water. It was also an excuse to play around with water effects, something I'd been wanting to try for a while. I blended several images of waves, spray and bubbles together to create the effect.'

WOODNJUICE LOGO: A logo for my old band, Woodnjuice. This got slightly messy as I went overboard with smoke and overlay effects... Pretty though!

/Summer of Love '08-'09

This series of flyer designs celebrated the birth of the acid house scene in '88 which gave rise to the dance music scene as it is today. The venue for this movement was often in the form of illegal raves taking place in isolated fields and abandoned warehouses. I used pictures of these types of locations and super-imposed the logo into the spaces to convey the spirit of the scene as inspired by these lo-tech venues. This allowed me to go back to working in a "false 3D" way, and explore working flat graphics into a 3-dimensional way. The pictures are stylized but, I hope, still look convincing.

Individual gig posters like these usually don't deserve a mention, but I like this series as an exercise in simplicity and patterns. Sticking to few colours and a bold background made the series bold but distinctive enough to be picked out on a busy poster-wall.

/Stompaphunk '06-'07

A series for the Brighton-based iconic underground dance music night Stompa Phunk. This series spanned a year and features Brighton landmarks with giant superimposed ladies, that was pretty much the brief! I took the photos myself using a digital SLR. I then split the scene into different layers in order to exaggerate the perspective and stylize picture. Trawling the net for appropriate photos to superimpose was extremely time consuming - I had to find alternative styled photos with the appropriate lighting and angle to fit into the scene. I'm very fond of this set, this was my first steady graphic design job, and the series was an excellent learning curve, allowing me to explore different styles and photomontage and retouching techniques.

/Modball Rally

I worked as lead designer for Modball for several years, producing a variety of promotional material, graphics for web, logo designs and various merchandise designs.

Logo variations for different incarnations of the Modball Rally. The original modball logo design ( the oval shape, chrome rim and 'Top Gear' font ) was done by another designer.

/Audio '07-'09

I did graphic design for Audio, one of Brighton's top nightclubs, for 3 years. I produced logos and brand styles, listings, graphics for web including banner ads and animated graphics, promotional flyers and designs across many print mediums. This set is from the listings calendar which ran for most of this time - we selected famous musicians from all eras to feature. Mark Hooley sent me these hand drawn illustrations which I coloured and worked into designs.'
